This summer is zipping away already! Too much rain in parts of the country - not enough in others. Our thoughts and prayers with all the tornado victims. Hopefully, it'll be quieter in nature for the next few months. Most of us can use a break! :)

What a wild time we had in May! Snow, ice, wind, floods and barely missed the tornado activity across the midwest. Ended up re-routing or waiting a few times due to closed roads or dangerous situations.

Back on the west coast putting the new loop schedule together. Things were such a mess at the office for a couple weeks while we waited for the phone company to install their new box so we could have long distance and internet. But we are back. Still room for a few pets west to east and down the Eastern Seaboard. From FL to TX there are a couple cages open but from TX west to OR and WA we are already booked full for this trip. Typical spring weather - snowing one day, sunny the next. Still, this loop is going smoothly so far. Keep your fingers crossed for us as we are still in the running for one of five featured slots on a possible new reality TV show about animal transporters. More on that in a couple weeks.

Back at work on the van this morning. Oh please! please! let this be the last problem and that this part fixes it completely. Electrical problems are scary - not only do they keep things from working properly, they can become major shorts or even fires if not corrected. Estimated time of departure is now around noon Pacific Time.

Half our parts were delivered this afternoon and that half of the van is now working. Last part should be here first thing tomorrow and James has promised to be here early and get it installed and the van buttoned up so I can leave hopefully by noon.

Gee, what a surprise... the parts did not show up today but they are promised for tomorrow. Now it's just a matter of getting them installed and fixing the other problem with the van which is electrical in nature and has both of our long-time mechanics frustrated. So, keep your fingers crossed - we need a little good luck here.

Happy Spring! Keep your fingers crossed that the parts for the van actually show up tomorrow and that our mechanic can get everything updated like we planned so I can leave on Tuesday morning. Maintenance is so important especially with the number of miles we drive but Mercedes parts are turning out to be rather elusive. Oh well, live and learn!

Please pray for pilot Joseph Radford and his family. Radford is a volunteer pilot for Pilots N Paws. He took off Monday morning from Glendale, CA fueled in Arizona and did not return home. There is currently a search being conducted over a 600 sq. mile area near the Grand Canyon.

Wow! lots of things happening since I last saw this page. :)
We were invited to interview for a featured slot in a possible new TV reality show about animal transporters. So, last Monday morning, Karen arrived in Hollywood and faced the camera! Didn't go too badly but it'll be a week or two before we know if we're still in the running. There are about 50 companies competing for one of 5 spots.
This is South Dakota one fine morning. Snow, snow and more snow - I am so tired of the snow!

We hope that all of you had a wonderful Holiday season. The snow is falling in places that it doesn't usually go and is making messes of the roads. If you're out there in it, please be careful! It was so cold coming across SD, WY and MT - How cold was it? - it was so cold that the winter diesel gelled in the van. We sat for a day waiting for a new filter to be installed. Spent the night in a beautiful hotel in Missoula surrounded by kitties and one sweet Golden Retriever. Running down the much warmer West Coast now.

Finally back in Oregon for a day. Heading out tomorrow. Up through Montana, out to Chicago, new England, Long Island, the Carolinas, Florida, Texas, Wisconsin and back to California. If you have a pet that needs to go somewhere along any of those routes, give us a call for availability.

Karen is really getting spoiled! Another layover complete with wonderful meal, company and a real bed in New Hampshire at Christina's house. Congratulations to her on the purchase of one of Edgar and Yenny's beautiful Neapolitan Mastiff pups.
